RECREATIONAL PROGRAM

REQUIRED ATTIRE FOR SESSIONS:

  • ​Dry-land training (gym): Boys and girls may wear tucked in t-shirts and shorts OR girls may wear leotards to class.

  • Pool training: Boys should wear swim trunks, jammers or speedos swim shorts and girls should wear one-piece swimsuits. Everyone should also bring a shammy absorbent towel to the pool.

PRE-K INTRO TO DIVING & GYMNASTICS PK000 (DRYLAND ONLY, NO POOL)

  • An introduction to the foundations of diving fundamentals with a focus on gymnastics techniques, body awareness, gross motor skills, and strength training. Basic trampoline and dry board training are also introduced in a positive and safe learning environment. There is NO POOL training associated with this class (1 dryland class per week)

PRE-K INTRO TO DIVING & GYMNASTICS PK001

  • An introduction to the foundations of diving fundamentals with a focus on gymnastics techniques, body awareness, gross motor skills, and strength training. Basic trampoline and dry board training are also introduced in a positive and safe learning environment.

  • Preschoolers develop comfort with underwater exploration (with and without goggles), blowing bubbles while underwater, submerging to look at an object, and exiting the pool safely. Preschoolers also focus on body awareness, body control, and listening skills through pool and sports activities (1 dryland/1 pool class per week)

NOVICE 000 (DRYLAND ONLY, NO POOL)

  • Basic and progressional introduction to springboard diving by training on dryboards, trampoline, and diving specific strength training. There is NO POOL training associated with this class (1 dryland class per week)

NOVICE 001

  • Basic and progressional introduction to springboard diving by training on dryboards, trampoline, and diving specific strength training

  • Learn fundamentals of diving (all skills) on 1-meter board

  • Must be comfortable with jumping into 14ft of water and safely swimming to the side of the pool and exiting on their own

  • 1 dryland/ 1 pool class per week


NOVICE 002

  • Basic and progressional introduction to springboard diving by training on dryboards, trampoline, and diving specific strength training

  • Learn fundamentals with capability of doing front and back dive (skills and 101, 201) on 1-meter board

  • Must be comfortable with jumping into 14ft of water and safely swimming to the side of the pool and exiting on their own

  • 1 dryland/ 1 pool class per week
